The study defines 4 different areas depending on whether\nthe product is a leader (maximum rating, as it combines a completeness of\nmarket vision and ability to execute), challenger, visionary or niche player.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the case of RapidMiner, it has been the market leader in\nthe area of Data Science and Machine Learning for six consecutive years. This\nis one of the reasons why, at Mind Analytics, we use this tool to develop our\nData Science projects.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So why has Gartner been the undisputed leader for so many\nyears?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gartner considers that RapidMiner is the leading platform\nfor achieving a balance between ease of use and Data Science sophistication.\nData Scientists highlight the platform\u2019s accessibility and open source\nfunctionality in the software, although Gartner also highlights that its\nstrengths are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Simplicity:&nbsp; enables users to build and manage a large\nnumber of models intuitively, increasing productivity. Also, the fact that it\nhas help wizards for data preparation (Turbo Prep) and modelling (AutoModel)\nboost the simplicity of use still further.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Evolution: it is a tool which improves many aspects\nyear-on-year, focussing on explainability of the processes at all their stages,\nfrom development to project roll out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Coherence: many references have been made to user\nexperience, from repository management to real-time scoring. Elements\ncontributing to this are RapidMiner Studio, for model development, RapidMiner\nServer, for sharing, collaborating on, deploying and maintaining models, and\nRapidMiner Real-Time Scoring, providing a low latency model execution engine.\nFurthermore, RapidMiner Cloud is evolving with the capability to use the tool\non the cloud.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Appearing on the Garner Magic Quadrant gives great prestige\nand respect, which is one of the targets of technology companies.
